Seeing the Difference

One of the toughest jobs for a dentist is explaining to a patient that they need treatment to fix or prevent problems they cannot see or feel. We believe in stopping issues before they have the chance to start. That’s why we’ve invested in the latest technology at Toms River Family Dental, and we have modern solutions every step of the way.

Our intraoral camera is a hand held, pen-sized camera that takes close-up, detailed pictures. These photos are then instantly displayed on a chair-side monitor so patients can see exactly what the problems are, magnified twenty to thirty times. We also have digital imaging x-rays, which are environmentally friendly and more importantly - patient friendly. The digital system emits up to 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays. The images can be viewed instantly and are extremely accurate.

Most people are visual, and when you can see what is happening in your mouth you can make better, more informed decisions. The intraoral images and digital imaging x-rays are a great asset for analysis, record keeping, and explaining long-term treatment plans to dental insurance companies. These tools are on the forefront of patient care – and that’s what we’re all about.

We Love Our Patients

We really do love our patients, and it's so wonderful to hear from them when they love us back. In fact, nothing makes us happier. It's our way of knowing we're really helping people to make them feel good and smile bigger, literally. We received this letter from a new patient of ours, Thomas Sloan. In it he says, "my experience was so good that I felt compelled to write and thank you and your entire staff, from the receptionist and billing clerks, to Dr. Lisa and her assistants."

We pride ourselves on creating the best experience for our patients. From working with them and their insurance plans to keep costs low, to always having a positive and helpful attitude. We believe it's what sets us apart, and why we do what we do. So to Mr. Sloan and all of our patients, we want to thank YOU, who give us such wonderful feedback. It makes our day. And please continue to share your reviews and recommendations on our Facebook page

A Spring In Your Step And Your Smile

It's officially spring, and the entire Toms River Family Dental office is elated to welcome this weather. Everyone feels happier when the sun is shining, and smiles are aplenty. So as you're smiling this season, we want you to feel confident in your teeth. Just the way you'll spend time spring-cleaning, we believe you should also spend time making sure your smile is looking and feeling its best. We can help with that :)

We have the latest cosmetic options to quickly turn any smile into a showstopper. Whether you’re interested in whitening, closing gaps or replacing missing teeth we have options for you.  We even have the next great advancement in orthodontics – Clear Correct. Compared to traditional metal brackets, Clear Correct uses clear aligners that are virtually invisible to help straighten teeth. Ask us about any of these options for you and your family.

We've also rebooted our social channels with fresh content and active engagement! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to see the latest and stay in the loop. Have a wonderful spring and we look forward to seeing you and your smile.

‘Filling’ You In:

  • Dr. Shah is our pediatric dentist that is on maternity leave and last week she had her beautiful, healthy baby girl. Both mom and baby Leyla are doing very well and we couldn’t be happier!

  • We also have two new team members to our family! Anye is a new part of our administrative team. She’s originally from Peru and fluent in both English and Spanish. She will be working with our hygiene team to make your checkup and cleaning visits as smooth as possible.

  • Our second new team member is Dr. Khani Nguyen. As a general dentist, she will be covering pediatric patients while Dr. Shah is on maternity leave, and take care of our adult patients as well! We are thrilled to have her as part of our team. Her kindness, compassion, and skilled hands make her a fantastic dentist and a wonderful person.
